Wesley McKenzie grew up on a farm just south of the Ottawa River, an hour North West out of Ottawa. At an early age, he showed a great interest in music and theatre, and performed at school and in the community.
After high school, Wesley went on to get a Bachelor of Fine Arts at York University in Theatre Production in 2014. Since then, he has been designing lights, sound and video as free lancer.
In 2015, Wesley started working with the Classic Theatre Festival in Perth, Ontario as lighting designer and production manager. He continues to fulfill these roles and is always excited to return to the rural area.
Wesley collaborates as a video designer with ted witzel and his theatre company, the red light district. He was apart of the team that won the 2015 Summerworks Design award for the marquise of O–.
He also collaborates with House of Rebels on their numerous podcast series.
